Season 2 might not follow DIA?
The other day, Kristin Dos Santos from E! TV (whatever that is) tweeted that she had seen the Season 2 premiere episode and that it's fantastic. Her tweet raises a couple of questions, however, which I'll stick behind a cut.

Given that there is still one very important cast member not yet cast -- Brianna, I have to assume from her tweet that season 2 will not start the same way book 2 does, in 1968, and with Claire retelling what happened to Brianna and Roger, but will continue on from where we left off at the end of season 1. Not a big deal, I guess, but makes me wonder how they'll work in the bits from the start of the book, which are kind of important. They've cast Roger, so obviously those bits will come in at some point -- will they stick them at the end?

That is very interesting! Thank you for sharing this. I'm wondering if they will stick it at the end or if we'll have one episode and then a future episode. I'm so curious. But your speculations have to be accurate because we've not heard anything on the Brianna front. Part of me thinks they have one and aren't saying.

I was thinking that putting the future (1968) part at the end might work. The last 2-3 episodes maybe could be Claire showing up with Bree at Roger's, Bree learning about her real paternity, Roger doing Claire's requested research and then it ends with Roger telling her Jamie didn't die at Culloden -- a sort of cliffhanger that would set up for season/book 3 quite nicely, I think.

That's a very good assumption. It would also explain why nothing has been filmed yet with Rankin and the still-to-be-cast Brianna.

I think that would work. Especially since it is essentially two cliffhangers.... Jamie and Claire separate. Jamie goes to die. Then there is the whole Claire in the future and then they find Jamie. BAM! What a great couple of episodes that would be. I would love to see tv fan reactions to that.

...Kristin Dos Santos from E! TV (whatever that is)

E! TV is an on-line and TV entertainment channel in the US that covers film and TV celebrities. Kristin has interviewed both Sam and Cait a couple of times in the past.

Yeah -- I was being sarcastic. I hate those sorts of shows.

Oh! OK. ;)

That's disappointing, but not surprising. I kind of suspected since Brianna hadn't been cast yet.
