Is Anyone Watching Thirteen?

So I'm just curious if anyone is watching Thirteen with our Roger, Rik Rankin, and what they thin about it? I would recommend it because it is really good though adult in concept. Rik does a fantastic job on the show too.

I watched it back when it was airing in the UK (I torrented it). I loved it -- the lead actress who plays Ivy is simply brilliant.

She is brilliant and I've enjoyed the show. I do wonder if it will have a second season but I can't imagine where they'd take it from here. I loved Rik in it too. He did a fantastic job and I love listening to him.

Speaking of actors in that series... I couldn't help but think that Aneurin Barnard, who played Ivy's childhood boyfriend, could possibly be cast as young adult William in Outlander. If you google pics of him, he could pull it off. The problem is, by the time they get around to those books (assuming the series lasts that long), he'd probably be too old (he's already 29).

Given the critiques by so many of how wrong Sophie Skelton is for the role of Bree (in terms of height, eye colour, etc.), it's going to be a total nightmare for them to find a younger mirror image of Sam...

Hmm. II guess in some images but overall he wouldn't be my pick though I think he's a great actor. But yeah, by the time they cast he'll be too old. First there will have to be a 14 year old I think... or someone close enough.

I think so too. I mean I like Sophie though it is hard for me to see on screen Claire and Jamie with blue eyes and Bree with brown but whatever.

Yes, I'm watching it. It seemed to end rather abruptly. Was that the last episode...the one with Ivy standing in the street? Did she and the creep have a baby that died?

I loved Richard in this show.

It did end abruptly and I do wonder if it will get a second season though it would seem they would only have to tie up loose ends like if Lisa is okay and what happened after everything with Ivy. But overall it seemed almost complete.

It seems so. They talked about it. Poor Ivy. I loved her saying she was relieved the baby wouldn't have to have him as a father and grow up in that horrible place. I was so proud of Ivy for taking his gun but then it wasn't loaded. That killed me.

I loved Richard in the show too. He was awesome as Elliot. I really want to watch more with him.

I did watch Crimson Field which is now available on PBS.org but you'd have to stream it.

I'm glad I saw it when it was on TV. I'm considering buying the DVDs of The Crimson Field.
