Writer's Battle: And the winner is....

And I thought I could predict the winner! I'm shocked actually but not too much because this was an excellent episode and I think Toni Graphia deserves the praise (much like the other writers). Thank you for participating. Keep in mind... we'll do this again after Season Two.

Gosh, I thought for sure The Wedding was going to win, but The Devil's Mark was an excellent episode, too.

Me too. I seriously thought it would win but when I think on it... I wouldn't say it is the best written episode and that was what we were after.

I'm excited about it not being as predictable was we thought.

And now we need something else to pass the time. LOL

The second half of The Devil's Mark is my favourite part of Outlander's first series -- when Claire finally tells Jamie the truth and he selflessly decides to let her go back to her life and brings her back to the stones. That entire end part always brings tears to my eyes.

It is beautiful. I think Jamie's reactions to everything is what makes him so loved with the readers and watchers. He doesn't do the usual thing you see in every other story. I love that about DG's writing.

I'm totally happy this episode won. For me The Wedding was beautiful but some of the best episodes are The Garrison Commander, The Devil's Mark, Rent and Wentworth Prison.

I think that's a worthy winner. It did have some of my favourite moments from the book included and that's always a win for me.

It is true.

I've been listening to the book and really noticed where it was the same and where it the tone of the story had been changed. But still great.

I'm considering rereading the first two books just before or after season 2 airs.

I started listening to Outlander so... I'll probably listen to Dragonfly too. :-0
